Behind the Scenes

Aquarist

Testing water quality

To maintain the world’s largest living coral reef aquarium it takes a team of dedicated staff and volunteers contributing in highly diverse areas of expertise.

The research and experimentation that is carried out at Reef HQ not only benefits the animals and the ecosystem at Reef HQ but also contributes to the ongoing conservation and management of the Great Barrier Reef.
